R&D
The great success of lithium-ion drone batteries is based on their very high energy and power density, long life cycle, high safety and continuous decreasing cost. The revolutionizing lithium-ion battery technology holds many future prospects for a better world.
A. Cell Chemistry Research
Our research specialists work with the fundamentals of battery chemistry to provide better batteries today and tomorrow.
Li-ion is the most prolific battery technology in use today. Its higher energy density compared to traditional battery chemistries and the absence of memory effect and minimal self discharging rate and long life-span makes it a promising technology of the future.
Research driven data holds proof that Li-ion batteries have more watt hours per kilogram than its equivalent LiPo batteries. The Li-ion batteries are state of art chemical energy storage technology, best suited for drones.
Lithium-ion batteries boast longer endurance than its LiPo equivalent.
We have a dedicated research vertical to study the fundamentals of the Lithium-ion battery chemistry to move towards advanced Lithium-ion batteries experimenting with new materials.
We aim to revolutionize
drone Lithium-ion battery
technology by achieving:-
➔ Higher power density
➔ Higher energy density
➔ Fast charge rate
capabilities
➔ Wide operating temp
mPower Lithium-ion batteries are game-changers in drone battery technology. With substantial research evidence we bring the ideation to reality.
B. iBMS
We are moving ahead from BMS to iBMS to contribute to the era of smart technology.
Our iBMS proposal includes:-
➔ Cooling System control
➔ Fault Diagnosis
➔ Data collection from the
controllers (Temp. sensors, residual
cycles left etc).
➔ Charging process control
➔ Discharge control process
➔ Send data to computer
➔ Displaying data on LCD
➔ Saving the data to a SD card.
C. Hybrid Batteries
We understand that different drones face different energy demands under various
environments.
➔ A fixed wing VTOL shall need more energy for take off than for forward movement.
➔ The power demand for a drone during headwind conditions is more than an ambient
environment.
➔ The power demand for a drone with heavy payload will be higher than without a payload
Hence, fabricating Hybrid power systems with efficient energy storage is considered to be desirable to meet the varying power demands of drones. mPower’s state of art lithium-ion batteries are moving towards a future of better Lithium-ion batteries by the year 2050.
D. Easily recyclable batteries
The rising importance of drones and other electric mobile vehicles will significantly increase the demand of battery raw materials and sustainable recycling technologies. We at mPower understand the need for greener batteries as an essential prerequisite for filling the gap between development and sustainability. Extensive research efforts are vested on this future development of the project, aimed to recycle 70% of the batteries and re-use 10% of the batteries. Resulting in our desired greener batteries.
